Posting of Delegate Data Investigated

AP News reports on a story concerning IndyMedia New York. It seems that the Angry Leftists over there posted personal information about Republican delegates to the convention on their web site and recommended that their readers "do whatever they wish" with the information. The tactics of threat and intimidation are clear to see for everyone. Well at least everyone who is not a member of The Angry Left or The Elite Media Monoculture. The posting of this information has not gone unnoticed by the Secret Service, however. They are now investigating this incident as a possible crime and I suspect that at some point in the not-too-distant future we will indeed see some criminal prosecutions. Members of the Angry Left are calling this a threat to their free speech. One is tempted to ask them if they would still say so if a conservative group were to put their personal information up on the web and ask others to use it for "whatever" purposes one could think of. I suspect that if the shoe were on the other foot, we would see a very different reaction indeed.
