I heard Tony Snow on the radio yesterday talking about this, and it was very funny indeed. A small group of legislators objecting to the electoral college results because they claim to believe that President Bush, Karl Rove and other evil henchmen sat in a darkened room on election night and used computers to somehow change the votes in counties across the nation. If I may use Mark Steyn's imagery, the Democrat's Angry Left is now officially wrapped up in a straight jacket drooling on itself while the nurse says "Yes Mr. Napoleon, your regiment will be here very, very soon so that you can go attack Russia. I'll be right back with your orange juice."
Of course if Bushco, Halliburton and company really were so inclined, would they not have given themselves a bigger margin of victory? Why not 5% or 10% or 20%? When Saddam and Arafat had their elections, they got 100% of the vote. But even though Bush is an evil genius, he gets only 51% to 48%. What kind of conspiracy is that?
