Nick Coleman, Frustrated Member of The Elite Media Monoculture

Nick Coleman writes for the Star Tribune and in this article he voices his frustration that Time Magazine singles out blogs such as Powerline for attention rather than his own dinosaur media. Of course he wouldn't be complaining if blogs were unimportant. But as many others have pointed out, this was a watershed year for Old Media, and it was not a good one. The Elite Media Monoculture threw everything they had into this election on the side of The Angry Left, all to no avail. The Elite Media Monoculture now lays in smoking ruins after the debacle of Dan Rather's forgerygate, the fabrications put out by The New York Times and the blatant propaganda which has become the signature of Old Media.

Try as they might, the Nick Colemans of Old Media can no longer keep the facts from the American people. Talk radio, Fox, the Internet and Blogsphere have changed the playing field so that anyone with a computer and a modem can now get the information they want without the filtering or "oversight" that Old Media so thoughtfully provided for us in the past. Now we as individuals can read and see for ourselves that there is far more in heaven and on earth than is dreamed of in their philosophy.
