The Anti-Strength Candidate
Frank J Gaffney writes that in order to believe that John F_ing Kerry was telling us the truth at the Democratic convention, you have to ignore his entire record in the Senate. The ostensible theme of the Democratic convention was that of "strength." The Democrats would like us to believe that they mean it when they say that they are ready to defend the country. But if you look past the words you get a very different picture. The left has been consistently against every use of military force for the last thirty years. And Senator Kerry has voted against virtually every use of force as well as against every funding bill for the military which has come up. There is not a weapon system which is in use today which John F_ing Kerry did not vote against. So what does the Frenchurian candidate mean when he says that he will make America strong? He means that the French will like us again and that we will have peace through surrender to our enemies.
