Less Thrilling the Second Time Around

Redoing an campaign, Hollywood-style.

Frederica Mathewes-Green tells us in this movie review that we would be better off renting the original version of "The Manchurian Candidate" rather than wasting money and time on this new politically correct whitewashed and morally neutered version. Hollywood could have updated this film to reflect current events and made it worth seeing. Instead they drag out their favorite bad guys: evil businessmen. That's right; according to the mavens of Hollywood you should be more afraid of the people who bring you soap, corn flakes and running shoes than of the people who crash planes into buildings and are trying to get their hands on atomic weapons.
