Michael Moore Rocks the Convention

Jonathan Last follows The Angry Left to a rally where we get to see Michael "Hindenburg" Moore wow the Democratic party with his usual antics. What is amazing is, of course, that so many Democrats are now members of The Angry Left and that they think that the rest of America agrees with them that "Bush is Hitler" even if their candidate, Howard Dean, failed to get the nomination. Of course there are still moderate Democrats out there, but their numbers are dwindling as they leave the party and head for Republican territory. As that continues the Democratic party shrinks while the Republican party grows.

The Angry Left is certainly loud and organized, but they are not the majority of Americans even if they say otherwise. The fact of the matter is that in poll after poll the Democrats are now a minority party in America and The Angry Left refuses to recognize that it is on a downward spiral. They are now in control of the levers of power within the party structure and will hold on with a death grip until they have been removed or until they can no longer hold on to them. What this portends is, I think, the death knell for the Democratic party as we have known it. The Angry Left is not willing or able to see that their own hate dooms the party to irrelevance in the eyes of most middle of the road Americans who aren't interested in the Great Socialist Utopian Revolution. It leaves the Republicans as the logical and common sense alternative to the insanity of the people who think George Bush is more dangerous than Osama Bin Laden.
